Nominate ten blogs.

Those are the rules, so let’s begin:

Sibling-SpotIf you were to be granted three wishes what will be your three wishes be and why? And no, you can’t try to be clever and wish for more wishes.

This is always such a tough question to answer. Parts of me want to be like Mother Theresa and try to save the world, but other parts want to be greedy and wish for an unlimited supply of tea. But here goes nothing. (Don’t judge)

  1. Free books for life (My only selfish wish)
  2. Better living conditions for all countries in the world. Be it third world or first world.
  3. Peace on Earth. (Oh how Miss America of me) But it’s the truth. There is too much hate in this world.

Sibling-SpotWhat book/series do you believe is highly overrated?Underrated?

One highly overrated book series would have to go to The Divergent series by Veronica Roth. The books have been recommend to me so many times but I just can’t seem to get past the first book. I’m just not liking the series as a whole. Maybe that will change when I get to finishing it… but until then I will say its really overrated for what it is. As for the underrated one I would have to say The Splintered Series by A.G. Howard. Why? Because I just don’t seem to see enough of it around the blogosphere or booktube. A lot of people say it’s on their TBR, but they just aren’t reading them! That’s just my observations.

Sibling-SpotIf you had to choose to live without one of your five senses (see, smell, touch, taste, and hear) which one would you give up and why? (I know this may be tough, but I’m curious as what you would all say)

This one might be a bit easy for me. It’s a tie between smell and touch and here’s why:

I love to read. Way too much! So I would like my sight to do so. I also love music too much therefore I need my hearing to enjoy it to it’s fullest capacity. In my mind I am a huge fatass. I just love to eat and would not enjoy it if I couldn’t taste all the flavors. Now I smell could go hand in hand with taste as the two sort of work together but I can’t say I would absolutely need it. And as for touch I just don’t know if I would miss that. Hmmm… to be continued?

Sibling-SpotWhat are some of the common tropes in these books that you are tired of seeing? What are some that you absolutely will never get tired of seeing?

It’s tough to say. But I think I could without the “one special girl that can save the world” crap. I feel like every book has this and I’m tired of it. As for the one I can’t get tired of seeing is the asshole/cocky princes. There is just something about their arrogance that ignites my soul.

Sibling-SpotThere’s a saying that “the book is always better than the movie”.  However, there are rare instances that this may not be the case.  Was there a film adaptation that you thought was much better than the actual book?

Dare I say the Twilight movies? As much as I enjoyed the books (I’m not afraid to admit that) except for the second one, I must say that I enjoyed the movies a lot more. They brought everything to life that fell flat in the books and R-Pats was a sexy Edward. (And only when he’s Edward. It must be all that makeup)

Sibling-SpotWhat makes a book your favorite? Is it the plot, the characters, is it because it changes your life/inspirational, or is it down to memory and circumstance, etc…..

I think it’s a mix of a great cast of characters and the thrill of the story. I will use my all time favorite series Falling Kingdoms as the prime example. There is magic, politics, action and adventure, rebels, assassins, betrayal, murder, and surprises around every corner. Add that plus the amazing cast of characters such as Cleo, Magnus, Nic, Ashur, Lysandra, King Gauis etc. then it becomes my favorite. It’s as simple as that.

Sibling-SpotIn your opinion who is the worst literary couple ever?

Oh, a tough one. Dare I say Ron and Hermoine from the Harry Potter series? Not that I wanted Hermoine to be with Harry… I just don’t think Ron and Hermoine mesh well together. I find it a bit bizarre in a way. Maybe all three of them should have just ended being with separate people. (Don’t hate me)

Sibling-SpotWho is your favorite book villain and why?

I’ve mentioned this quite a lot in the past, but I would probably have to say it’s Queen Levana from The Lunar Chronicles series. She is just so ruthless. I don’t think she has a moral born in her body which is also why I like her so much. She’s just the perfect villain in my opinion.

Sibling-SpotImagine living in a society like Fahrenheit 451 where reading is forbidden and books are burned. Through what lengths will you go to make sure that your books are not burned? Like what would you do to make sure no one finds them?

What kind of nightmare is this? Absolutely crazy. I don’t even know where to begin with answering this question. I think I would probably just want to be burned at the stake if I can’t have my books. (Too much? Maybe I’m just a martyr deep down)

Sibling-SpotThroughout your whole life, what do you believe has been the greatest advice you ever received?

Basically my whole life my mother has always said to do what makes me the happiest. Now I may have struggled with that very notion so far in my life, but over the course of a year I think I have finally come to realize what she means by it. I just have to be myself. No one else can make me happy but me. If I live my life the way I want to, then that is when I will truly be happy.

My Questions

Sibling-SpotYou’ve committed a crime and are going to jail for life. The judge allows you to bring three books with you and those are the only three books you’ll be reading for the rest of your life. Which three are they?

Sibling-SpotPick three characters from your favorite book and play the F*ck, Marry, Kill game.

Sibling-SpotYou’ve been granted a magical power from the Gods. Which power is it and why?

Sibling-SpotYou’ve been in a relationship with your man/women and things are getting serious, but out of the blue they ask you to choose them or your books. Which do you choose and why?

Sibling-SpotYou’re being held at gun point but the shooter says he will set you free if you burn three of your books. Which three would you choose?

Sibling-SpotHero, Assasin, or Prince/Princess? You can only pick one. Which do you choose to be in a story with you as the main character?

Sibling-SpotThere is a new law coming into effect. It bans (insert genre here) genre from ever being read/written again. Which genre would you choose?

Sibling-SpotWith wanting more diversity in books nowadays, what is one aspect you believe should be represented more and why?

Sibling-SpotYour favorite author is going to call you for a once in a lifetime chance to talk. You can only ask them one question. Who is the author and what is the question? Why?

Sibling-SpotIf your favorite ship doesn’t end up together by the end of the book, would you give it a low rating and why?

  2. Your wishes! ❤ I would have given the same answer considering the senses. 😛

That book trope is seriously getting more irritating. Why does a-special-person has to save the day always like let them be ordinary and then let them decide to save the world not because they have to but because they want to.

Hermione had more chemistry with Harry than Ron. 😛 I don't know how I would have reacted if she would have ended up with Harry. I think I will agree on them not dating among each other. 😛

  3. Thank you for participating! Before I comment on your answers, let me just say your post is so aesthetically pleasing to the eyes. So neat and very pretty. 😀

Your wishes are just lovely. I’d be selfish as well and wish for infinite amount of books. That would make so happy!

I agree with Twilight. Despite Kirsten Stewart’s acting, I prefer the movies over the books. And finally another person who thinks Ron and Hermione were not a great couple, albeit, this may be due to the fact that I preferred Harry and Hermione. I just felt more chemistry between the two and I could definitely see it happening. Unfortunately JK Rowling didn’t think so.

Everyone seems to love Queen Levana as a villain. While she’s bad, I find her to be complex and that’s what makes her a great villain.

    Great answers! 🙂

    1. Aw thank you! I work so hard on the aesthitcs of my posts. Thanks for noticing! 😀

Yeah, I’m not afraid to admit that I liked Twilight. I even think Hermoine and Harry shouldn’t end up together. All three should just be with separate people xD

I can’t wait to see Queen Levana get taken down in Winter. It’s going to be EPIC!

  4. Lovely answers! Thank you so much for the tag. Reading through your questions made me nervous because those are some tough ones that I’m going to have to give a LOT of thought to. But I’ve learned thought-provoking questions are the best ones. Thanks again. ❤

  5. Thanks so much for the tag 😀 Your questions are tough ahahahah. I like it 😉

I do think that Divergent is way overrated, I could barely read the first book. I need to check out Splintered as I’ve heard such great things both on your blog and elsewhere on the blogosphere!
I loved Ron and Hermione when I was little, but I think if I read it now – their constant vicious bickering would do my head in.

  6. Thank you for the tag, Jesse! I really love your questions – they’re actually really thought-provoking and not generic! I look forward to answering these.

I loved reading your answer to Erika’s questions! I really agree with you with regards to Ron and Hermoine – I found their relationship a little sudden? Like, it was perfectly platonic over the years, and then suddenly there were romantic feelings. Reading it years ago, I felt like it came out of the blue. :c I plan to reread the books though… so maybe it’ll change my mind!

And ugh yeah Divergent. Don’t even get me started.

    1. Thank you! I enjoyed coming up with them. To be honest they all should have just ended up with separate people and not each other. But oh well. What’s done is done.

I look forward to reading your question! 😀
