Hey guys!
I was tagged by Calliope from Calliope the Book Goddess to do the Seasons of Book Blogging Tag!! Thanks for the tag girl!
The Rules:
- Thank the creator (so she can see your answers) and the person who tagged you.
- Begin with the month in which you have been tagged and move forward from there.
- State the best gift you’ve ever been given after you answer the question for your birthday month.
- Tag whomever you’d like to when you’re finished, or else you’ll be “it” forever.
- Have fun!
March is the month for luck and new beginnings. Name a book or series that you would like to re-experience as if you’d never read it.
I loved the Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins so much that I would love to experience it again as if I’ve never read them before!
MARCH is my birth month and the greatest birthday gift I ever received was my GameBoy Color (Teal) with Pokemon Crystal from my parents! Such fond memories of me and my GameBoy!!
April is a spectacularly ordinary month. Name a book that was so over-hyped that it just could not live up to your expectations.
Throne of Glass just wasn’t anything special. Sorry! On the plus side it does get better as the books go on!
May is the month when flowers start to bloom. Name a book that was a pleasant surprise to you.
I instantly fell in love with this book! Which is surprising because at the time of reading it, I didn’t really like much contemporary books. But thanks to this one I tend to read more of them!
June is the time to take a break. Name a book or genre that you like to read when you just need to check out.
I read fantasy and sci-fi like crazy! It’s my favorite genres and the ones I usually gravitate towards in book stores. BUT sometimes my brain is so overwhelmed with it that I need a good contemporary to ease my way back into a high fantasy!
July is the time to celebrate your independence! Name a book that made you see fireworks (Figuratively. Please don’t light books on fire).
EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THESE BOOKS MADE ME SEE FIREWORKS!
August is the hottest month of the year. Pick an up-and-coming author that you think will be the next hottest thing.
Shaun David Hutchinson has written a few books now that I absolutely adore! But I feel like they and him are not talked about enough. I want him to see even more success then now!
September is time for students to go back to school! Pick a book you read for school that you actually enjoyed.
Those who follow me already know The Outsiders is the only book I read in school that I actually liked…
October is time to celebrate Halloween! Pick one character that you would love to dress-up as for Halloween.
All I need to do is put on the eye make up and I will literally look like Magnus Bane! Maybe add a little more outrageous fashion choices and I will have the perfect costume!!
November is the when we’re reminded of how much we have to be thankful for. Choose one book you’re grateful for having read and give a shout-out to the person who recommend it!
Big thanks to Joey from Thoughts and Afterthoughts for recommending Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson to me. I LOVED this one!
December is a time when friends and families come together and celebrate. Name one book you would give as a gift.
If only I knew more people who read. I would give EVERYONE this book for Christmas if that were the case!
January begins a new year. Name a resolution you made this year and if you’ve kept it or not!
I don’t make resolutions because I don’t like breaking promises. But what I did want to achieve this year was a more balanced life with the blog, social and work. I can say I’m pretty happy with the way things are turning out so far!
February is the month for relationships. Name your favorite book relationship: romantic, platonic or familial, your choice!
I love the friendship and the dynamic between Darrow and Sevro from the Red Rising trilogy by Pierce Brown. Their bromance was on point!
