November 2016 Wrap Up!

November Wrap Up

Hey guys!

This month sure did zoom past us. It definitely felt that way to me at least. As Christmas fast approaches, so does the mall craziness (a.k.a my job). My stress levels are at an all time high this time of year.

Not only did I get strep throat earlier this month, but I’ve also not been able to go to the gym as much as I want! But on the good news side of things, the lovely Jenna from Reading with Jenna came to visit Toronto! It was such a fun week spending it with her. I took her to a lot of bookstores, and we definitely ate our way through the city! We also took time and watched Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them with Joey from Thoughts and Afterthoughts. Finally we had a board game night with Joey and Maria from Big City Bookworm. It was definitely the highlight of my November!

Phew…. boy am I exhausted! So let’s get to how well I did in books!

Characters I Didn’t Click With | Top 10 Tuesday [8]

Hey guys!

Welcome back to another Top 10 Tuesday weekly fun on my blog! Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. If you want to join in the fun, hop on over to their blog to see what it’s all about!

This week’s topic is Top 10 Characters I Didn’t Click With. I racked my brain hard this week to come up with 10 different characters that I really didn’t click with and could probably care less what happens or happened to them. I know that sounds harsh, but sometimes you just really don’t care!

Here are some you MAY have or MAY NOT have heard of:

10. Indigo from Hexed

HexedAlthough she is the main character of the story, there was just no connections with her. I would have liked it better if the story was about Bishop instead. At least I cared about him!

9. Bianca from The DUFF

The DUFFAnother main character… this may become a pattern. Although she brings the humor and wit to the book, I could care less really. I liked her movie character a lot better then her character in the book!

8. Eleanor from Eleanor and Park

Eleanor and ParkIf we put both main characters next to each other and choose one we connect with the most it would be Park. We had similar interests and styles, whereas there was no connection with Eleanor whats so ever. I found her rather bland to be honest.

7. Sam from Playlist for the Dead

17838490I read this book early in the year and just didn’t like it much at all. One of the biggest reasons was the lack of connection with Sam. He was more responsible for his friend’s death then he wants to admit.

6. Ella from The Secrets We Keep

The Secrets We KeepOh Ella. Why couldn’t you just be yourself? Are you not good enough that you have to pretend to be your dead twin sister?

5. Lora from The Memory Key

The Memory KeyI found Lora to be so exhausting to read. I felt like punching myself for the decisions she made and her narratives. No connections at all.

4. Sonny from Lying Out Loud

Lying Out LoudShe was annoying.

3. Clary from City of Bones

City of BonesYawn. Her journey of discovering who she really was sucked. I had more of a connection with Church the cat then I did with Clary herself.

2. Linh Cinder from Cinder

CinderShe should have been portraying Sleeping Beauty, because the amount of times she almost put me to sleep was exhausting. Thank god for Levana, Thorne, and Cress in the later books!

1. Althea from Althea & Oliver

Althea & OliverQuite possibly the worst character ever? There are no amount of words that can describe how garbage she was. Not relatable on any level. She makes every villain and bitch in every other book look good. (And she wasn’t the antagonist of the story)

Well there you have it. The Top Characters I Didn’t Click with. Let me know what you guys think of my list and share with me which characters made your list!

Until next time,

Sig New
