Hey guys!
Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine that spotlights highly anticipated upcoming releases.
So here’s what I’m waiting on this week!
In REIGN OF SERPENTS, the ancient power of Snake Blood threatens the known world. While Prince Alexander struggles with a very deadly inner demon, his betrothed, Zofia, is on her way to him, to unite their kingdoms…even as she begins to realize where her true allegiance lies.
The fierce Cynane meets her match-not in her future husband, the deranged king of Illyria, but in her great-great-grandfather, Talus, possessor of Smoke Blood, who will teach her the true meaning of betrayal. And marooned together on an island in the Mediterranean, romantic tension blooms between Katerina and Hephaestion as they learn of lost civilizations and discover a device that could help them do the impossible: kill the last living god.
I absolutely love this series! This new take on Alexander the Great has expanded on the stories and characters with many fantastical twists and turns. Can’t wait to see what happens next!
P.S. Eleanor Herman is the author of The Legacy of Kings, and Empire of Dust.
What has you guys waiting this week? Let me know down below!

Hey guys!
Welcome back to another Comic Book Haul! Today I want to show you what I got this week in comics. I have always been a lover/reader/collector of all sorts of comic books and I can’t wait to show you which ones I got this week.
“Die Laughing” part two! As the plague of zombies on Coney Island continues to spread, Harley must rescue one of her own from the undead hordes…and try to uncover the cause of this corpse-y catastrophe!
“I Am Gotham” part five. In the final chapter of this epic, is Batman truly the hero Gotham City deserves-or does it deserve better? In this ultimate showdown, where the line between allies and enemies blurs, the question will finally be answered…and the fate of Gotham will be decided.
“Better than Batman” part three! Nightwing and Raptor have become the pride of the Parliament of Owls, successfully completing missions for them across the globe-but Batgirl is not happy. Can she convince Nightwing he’s gone too far, or has he fallen too far under Raptor’s influence?
“Rise of the Batmen” part five! Batman, Batwoman, and the entire team take the fight to the deadly Colony! Those highly trained operatives took the Bat-team apart on their own turf…so how will they fare when the Colony is in its element, with all their weapons trained on our heroes?
“My Own Worst Enemy” part one! Superstar writer Scott Snyder explodes into an all-new Batman series alongside legendary artist John Romita Jr., reimagining some of the Dark Knight’s greatest villains. First up: Two-Face! Batman must take Two-Face to a destination out of Gotham City, but the duplicitous villain has a two of spades up his sleeve. Every assassin, bounty hunter and ordinary citizen with something to hide is on their tails with one goal: kill Batman! Handcuffed together on the road to hell, this is Batman and Two-Face as you’ve never seen them before!
“Who Is Oracle?” part one! Someone has stolen the name Oracle right out of Barbara Gordon’s past! Hot on this false Oracle’s trail, Batgirl, Black Canary, and Huntress are all tracking the same mafia capo…so it makes sense to team up, right? Problem is, Barbara and Dinah need the secrets locked up in Oracle’s brain…and Helena Bertinelli would rather put a crossbow bolt right through it!
“The Death and Life of Oliver Queen” part four! Black Canary steps through the deadly gates of Inferno, the global super-villain answer to Fort Knox, to discover the truth behind the destruction of Oliver Queen’s life, fortune and reputation. Meanwhile, Seattle’s manhunt for the outlaw Green Arrow takes an exhilarating twist when an old frenemy makes an unexpected return.
“The Death and Life of Oliver Queen” part five! It’s Green Arrow and Black Canary versus Shado and the Ninth Circle in the belly of the Inferno.
“The Drowning” part five. Unjustly branded a murderer and a fugitive, Aquaman’s forced to defend himself against the might of America’s military. Meanwhile, Black Manta and the deadly underwater crime cabal known as N.E.M.O. advance their plan for revenge on Aquaman.
“Lightning Strikes Twice” part four! The leader of the science-terrorist group Black Hole has weaponized the Speed Force, leading to a final confrontation with The Flash and his new league of citizen speedsters
A thousand enemies, a thousand kills-Deathstroke is the world’s greatest assassin. Stalked by an unseen foe, Slade Wilson is confronted by his own troubled past and challenged to reinvent himself before he loses everything and everyone in his life. Can Deathstroke be redeemed? Or will his addiction to violence destroy him?
“The Black Vault” part one! When a mysterious and definitely super-important cosmic item falls out of the heavens and into enemy hands, America has only one option: Task Force X, Amanda Waller’s strike team of incarcerated super-criminals. A one-stop-shop for plausibly deniable espionage and ultra- violence, this “Suicide Squad” only handles missions they’re not expected to survive.
After fleeing a monster-infested underground base, Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy and Scooby stumble upon a desert ghost town where they hope to catch their breath. But when night falls, they learn it’s not a ghost town after all-and the terrors that show up like to bite! Scooby Snack is about to take on a whole new meaning.
“A SWORD FOR LIONS” STARTS NOW!
• Ta-Nehisi Coates is joined by guest artist and modern master Chris Sprouse for the second arc chronicling the final days of the kingdom of Wakanda!
• As Zenzi and The People poison the citizens of Wakanda against the Black Panther, a cabal of nation-breakers is assembled…
• With his allies dwindling, T’Challa must rely on his elite secret police, the Hatut Zeraze, and fellow Avenger Eden Fesi, a.k.a. Manifold!
• Meanwhile, Shuri’s spirit journeys through The Djalia…but what awaits her there?
• Best part of living in a world of comic book heroes?
• TEAM-UPS, BABY!
• Gwen meets Miles Morales, SPIDER-MAN!
There ya have it! My Comic Book Haul for this week. Let me know if you guys read any of these series and let’s spark a conversation!
Until next time,
Hey guys!
I have an exciting post for you today! It is the cover revealing for this cool new book by j. leigh bailey from Corvisiero Literary Agency. Check it out!
No good deed goes unpunished, and for seventeen-year-old Isaiah Martin, that’s certainly the case. The gun he was caught with wasn’t even his, for God’s sake. He only had it to keep a friend from doing something stupid. No one wants to hear it though, and Isaiah is banished—or so it seems to him—to live with his missionary father in politically conflicted Cameroon, Africa. However, when he arrives, his father is so busy doing his good deeds that he sends Henry, the young, surprisingly hot do-gooder with a mysterious past, to pick up Isaiah and keep him out of trouble. Even while Isaiah is counting down the days until he can go home, he and Henry get caught in the political unrest of the region. Kidnapped by militant forces, the two have to work together to survive until they are rescued—unless they manage to find a way to save each other first.
She wrote her first story at seven, which was, unbeknownst to her at the time, a charming piece of fan-fiction in which Superman battled (and defeated, of course) the nefarious X Luther. She was quite put out to be told, years later, that the character’s name was actually Lex. Her second masterpiece should have been a best-seller, but the action-packed tale of rescuing her little brother from an alligator attack in the marshes of Florida collected dust for years under the bed instead of gaining critical acclaim.
Now she writes Young Adult LGBT Romance novels about boys traversing the crazy world of love, relationships and acceptance.
.
Let me know what you guys think. I can’t wait to read this one!
Until next time,
Hey guys!
Here are the covers that were revealed during the week of Mar 14 – Mar 20. Click the author to hop on over to their GoodReads page to add it to you’re TBR!
Driven by a social-media-addicted, nerdy heroine, this charming, thought-provoking coming-of-age story is PITCH PERFECT at opera camp.
Sixteen-year-old Renley needs three thousand dollars for the math club’s trip to New York City, and she knows exactly how to get it: she’s going to start a how-to blog where people pay for answers to all of life’s questions from a “certified expert.” The only problems: 1) She doesn’t know how to do anything but long division and calculus. 2) She’s totally invisible to people at school. And not in a cool Gossip Girl kind of way.
Meg is newly single since Sophia went off to college, and she doesn’t particularly like it. When her best friend Linus refuses to approach Danny, the boy he likes, she finds the perfect project to distract herself from her own heartbreak. And Danny seems interested enough, but Linus continues to be oblivious, and maybe Sophia isn’t quite as out of the picture as Meg thought she was…
Sophia has seven days left in Tokyo before she moves back to the States. Seven days to say good-bye to the electric city, her wild best friend, and the boy she’s harbored a semi-secret crush on for years. Seven perfect days…until Jamie Foster-Collins moves back to Japan and ruins everything.
The powerful story of two teenagers finding friendship, comfort, and first love in the days following 9/11 as their fractured city tries to put itself back together.
Alex is a bruja, the most powerful witch in a generation…and she hates magic. At her Deathday celebration, Alex performs a spell to rid herself of her power. But it backfires. Her whole family vanishes into thin air, leaving her alone with Nova, a brujo boy she can’t trust. A boy whose intentions are as dark as the strange markings on his skin.
Two o’clock was missing.
In an alternate Victorian world controlled by clock towers, a damaged clock can fracture time—and a destroyed one can stop it completely.
Halfway through Friday night’s football game, beautiful cheerleader Brittany Montague—dressed as the giant Winship Wildcat mascot—hurls herself off a bridge into Atlanta’s surging Chattahoochee River.
Just like that, she’s gone.
Eight days later, Benny Flax and Virginia Leeds will be the only ones who know why.
The closeted son of an ultra-conservative president must keep a budding romance secret from his father while protecting himself from a sentient computer program that’s terrorizing the United States—and has zeroed in on him as its next target—in this “socially conscious sci-fi thriller to shelve between The Terminator and Romeo and Juliet”
Well that’s it for this week! Are you looking forward to any of these books? Let me know in the comments below! Stay tuned for next weeks cover reveals!

Until next time,
Hey guys!
Another month has come and gone in a blink of an eye. This month has been really stressful with work and life. I’ve been having trouble finding the energy to keep up. I always seem to be tired at night to do anything but sleep nowadays.
With that being said, I’m a bit nervous to look back on this month. But let’s see how I did!
Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo – November 2, 2015
Transferal by Kate Blair – November 13, 2015
Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo – November 17, 2015
Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes (Re-read) – November 22, 2015
Delicate by C.K. Kelly Martin – November 29, 2015
5 books seems to be around my average lately. I really wish I had more time to read like I used to. But no dwelling. I will take those 5 books and hopefully make it 6 in December!
Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas – 5/5
Transferral by Kate Blair – 4/5
Rat Queens Vol. 2 by Kurtis J. Wiebe – 5/5
Yeah… only 3 this month. I am just super lazy to write reviews. But I have a couple more in line for December.

Until next time,
Hey guys!
I was tagged by Trisha Ann from The Bookgasm Blog. SO thank you my dear! Autumn is my favorite season, so I couldn’t pass this one up.
EVERYTHING.
The weather gets cooler. The leaves change to pretty colors. I get to start layering my clothes again with SWEATERS. (My favorite pieces of clothing) I get to drink my tea without sweating. I get to curl up with my favorite blanket and cuddle.
What is there not to love about Autumn??
The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton!
I’ve had to read this book so many times over the years I can’t even count anymore. It still holds the top spot in favorite school reads!
Its the color scheme I guess!
I don’t really have one, as I have not read any books in the horror genre before. But I did make a promise to myself to have a butt load ready for next year’s Halloween!
Hands down it’s Scream by Wes Craven! It will forever be my favorite horror movie of all time because it holds such nostalgic memories for me. Even though it may not be the scariest or the best out there, it will still remain a classic until the end of time.
Autumn doesn’t end until December 21 I think, so Frozen Tides by Morgan Rhodes still counts as a Fall release. I am counting down the days. 15 more to go until I can get my hand on this beauty!!
I will admit, I don’t watch a lot of movies in theaters… So I will just go with the obvious answer of Mockingjay Part 2. (Even though I probably won’t watch it in the theaters.
As this is the tale end of the season, I won’t be tagging anyone. BUT I hope you enjoyed reading.
Until next time,
