Hey guys!
I was tagged by the lovely Maria from Big City Bookworm to do The GoodReads Book Tag. If you haven’t checked out her blog then you need to get your butt over there and follow her. I’m being serious…. GO!
The rules are simple, answer the questions, tag your friends, and have some fun!
What was the last book you marked as βreadβ?
The last book I marked as read was The Darkest Magic by Morgan Rhodes. I finished just a few hours ago!
What are you currently reading?
I am currently reading We Know it Was You by Maggie Thrash. It is an ARC I received from Simon & Schuster that comes out in October.
What was the last book you marked as TBR?
I recently added Archie Vol. 2 by Mark Waid to my TBR. It comes out in December. After the explosive hit that was the first volume, I can’t wait to see how the story continues!
What book do you plan to read next?
Once I am done reading what I am currently, I plan to read a couple books. The Swan Riders by Erin Bow, Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas, and Holding Up the Universe by Jennifer Niven!
Do you use the star rating system?
Yes I do use the star rating system. On my blog I also split it up into different categories depending on the type of book I am reading!
Are you doing a 2016 Reading Challenge?
I sure am. And I’m happy to announce that I have accomplished my task and ever book I read from this point on is just icing on the cake!
Do you have a wishlist?
No I do not have a wishlist. I do most of my own book shopping, and I already know what I want most of the time. The only time I make wishlists, are around Christmas or my birthday!
What book do you plan to buy next?
I have my sights set on The Couple Next Door by Shari Lapena. Me and my sister want to do a buddy read for an unofficial book club between the two of us!
Do you have any favorite quotes? Share a few.
You must continue to believe with all your heart. Sometimes belief is all if takes to make something real.
Morgan Rhodes – Falling Kingdoms
Man cannot be freed by the same injustice that enslaved it.
Pierce Brown – Red Rising
Depression isn’t a war you win. It’s a battle you fight every day. You never stop, never get to rest.
Shaun David Hutchinson – We Are the Ants
Who are your favorite authors?
It comes as no surprise here… my favorite fantasy author is Morgan Rhodes. My favorite sci-fi author is Pierce Brown. And my favorite contemporary author is Shaun David Hutchinson!
Have you joined any groups?
I am apart of some groups on GoodReads but I don’t actively partake in them. I use them mainly for reading purposes only.

I’m intrigued by the cover of We Know It Was You. Congrats on reaching your Goodreads goal π I had set mine low because it’s the first year I’m participating and I wanted to keep the pressure low.

Yeah I only increased my goal by 10 books this year. I feel like I will do that again for next year. Slow increments is definitely a good way to improve π

Thanks for the tag! You should definitely read Empire of Storms next

I’ve been told to read The Assassin Blade first. Apparently old characters from there show up in EoS

They do but I read it without reading that and it didn’t lessen my enjoyment I don’t think

YAY! Congrats on completing your reading challenge! I can’t wait to see how many you can get through by the end of the year. Let me know what you think of Maggie Thrash’s book when you’re done. I read her graphic memoir, Honor Girl, and really liked it so I’m keen to read her debut novel too.

The We Are the Ants quote is enough to make me want to read the book and see what other wonderful quotes this author makes. I love that quote!
