Three Dark Crowns | Waiting on Wednesday [#17]

Hey guys!

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine that spotlights highly anticipated upcoming releases.

So here’s what I’m waiting on this week!

Three Dark Crowns

Author: Kendare Blake
Series: Untitled #1
Genre: YA, Fantasy
Publisher: HarperTeen
Publication Date: September 20th, 2016

Three Dark CrownsIn every generation on the island of Fennbirn, a set of triplets is born: three queens, all equal heirs to the crown and each possessor of a coveted magic. Mirabella is a fierce elemental, able to spark hungry flames or vicious storms at the snap of her fingers. Katharine is a poisoner, one who can ingest the deadliest poisons without so much as a stomachache. Arsinoe, a naturalist, is said to have the ability to bloom the reddest rose and control the fiercest of lions.

But becoming the Queen Crowned isn’t solely a matter of royal birth. Each sister has to fight for it. And it’s not just a game of win or lose…it’s life or death. The night the sisters turn sixteen, the battle begins.

The last queen standing gets the crown.

Why I’m Waiting

Three sisters fighting for one crown. Only one can be queen! Three unique and awesome powers to boot. It will be an EPIC fight to the death… or will it?

P.S. Kendare Blake is the author of Anna Dressed in Blood series and the Goddess War series.

What has you guys waiting this week? Let me know down below!

Until next time,

  1. This book sounds so cool. Competition, families turning against each other, power, royalty. It’s too much awesomeness

  2. I am actually not a huge fan of this cover, but I really want to read the book because it sounds amazing. Although I am often let down by YA royalty/fantasy books, I can’t help but want a story about three queens to be absolutely freaking awesome XD

    1. Three queens that have to fight to the death is even better 😛
And I agree… this cover is atrocious. The UK cover actually has 3 separate ones for each sister. They look a lot more appealing!
