Sorry I Don’t Love Them | Top 10 Tuesday [#29]

TOP-10-TUESDAY-NEW

Hey guys!

Welcome back to another Top 10 Tuesday weekly fun on my blog! Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. If you want to join in the fun, hop on over to their blog to see what it’s all about!

This week’s topic is Top 10 Characters Everyone Loves But I Don’t.

I love having unpopular opinions. It makes me unique and sets me apart from other book lovers! So I apologize if I dislike a character you like. It’s nothing personal… it’s just that they suck. Simple.

10. Peeta from the Hunger Games

Peeta

He was a bore to read. Complete snoozefest.

9. Jace from the Mortal Instruments

Jace

Hot as he may be… he was no Alec/Magnus.

8. Rhys from A Court of Thorns and Roses

Rhys

I couldn’t stand how he treated Feyre. It was so uncomfortable to read.

7. Chaol from Throne of Glass

Chaol again

Whine, whine, whine. That’s all he does!

6. Maven from Red Queen

Maven

For reasons I will not disclose.

5. Day from Legend

Day

No sympathies for him. Don’t see how he was the face of a revolution!

4. Draco from Harry Potter

Draco

He was cruel to my favorite character Hermoine. So it’s obvious where my loyalties lie.

3. Cinder from Lunar Chronicles

Cinder

No emotional attachment to her at all… mediocre character.

2. Alina from Shadow and Bone

ALina

Not my favorite heroine. I wouldn’t have minded if the series only revolved around Nikolai and the Darkling!

1. Celaena from Throne of Glass

Celaena

This is pre-Aelin days. She was a mess.

Well there you have it! Top 10Characters Everyone Loves But I Don’t. Do you agree with my choices? What popular characters do you not like?

Until next time,

Sig New

  1. I’m going to start the Throne of Glass series soon but it seems like no one likes any of the main characters! Kind of makes me more curious to read these books 😀
Also I’m going to assume you put Maven on the list because of Glass Sword? He’d definitely be on my list for everything he did in that book!

    1. I liked Dorian and Nehemia from Throne of Glass 🙂 They play major parts in the first book!

I actually haven’t gotten to Glass Sword yet. I’m just talking about what happened in Red Queen :O

      1. I’ll have to see what I think when I start the series, it’s next on my to-read list so hopefully I’ll be able to, at least, finish the first book soon!
Well if you put Maven on your list for Red Queen you’ll definitely keep him on there for Glass Sword as well! I hope you enjoy it when you do read it 🙂

      2. Yeah, my review was one of the negative ones! I didn’t mind the story itself it was the characters I didn’t like, I thought Mare was really annoying in this one. I do hope you enjoy it thought, I have seen a few good reviews for it, some people really loved Glass Sword.

  2. Totally agree with Peeta. But where was Jacob Black? Isn’t he most hated? 😉
I am guessing Mare is because of Glass Sword? I just started it yesterday and I’m not too far into it. I’m hoping I can get it read today before the library copy of the e-book disappears from my Kindle.

  3. I’ve not read A Court of Thorns and Roses but I read about what Rhys did and that basically turned me off the book. I don’t get how anyone can condone his actions and even support him. No thank you. It seems to me that there’s always a love triangle/square in Sarah J. Maas’ books which frustrates me cause I just can’t seem to tolerate them and the shipping wars that stem from them. 😦

  4. So much yaass about Rhys. I went off on a rant about him in my post. XD
I love Chaol. :$ I’m starting to think this is an unpopular opinion, haha.
I also love Draco, not as a person tbh, but as a character. I thought he was wonderfully developed. And YES, I’ve NEVER had the guts to say Peeta was boring until very recently because I was always afraid somebody was going to stab me in my sleep. 😛

    1. HAHA. There are very few Chaol lovers. But that’s good for you. You won’t have to share him 😛

      Draco blehhhh.

Yeah those hardcore Peeta fans lurk around every corner 😛

  5. Totally agree about Peeta. And you make a good point regarding Draco. I had him on my like list, but only because he was intriguing to me, but now I’m regretting that choice. Because Hermione will always be better 🙂

  6. This was hilarious and I loved reading your reasons for hating these characters!! The only character I can think of not liking bc ugh soooo annoying is Adam from the Shatter Me series. Oh and Mal from Shadow and Bone but no one likes him anyway right?!? Lol >.<

      1. *dismissively waves hand* Meh, no they won’t!
*has an overinflated sense of confidence, but that’s totally when they get you, so on a peaceful summer night, gets garroted by a Mal loyalist, but then is brought back from the dead Supernatural style (as in for the like 100th time) and enacts revenge like a ninja*
*Clears throat* I may or may not have stretched that illustration out too far, but I’m not at all sorry, bc doing so satisfied the nerd within. >.<
