The Coffee Book Tag | Books at Dawn

The-Coffee-Book-Tag

Hey guys!

I was tagged by Jenna over at Reading with Jenna and Kat over at Impossible Girl Blog to do The Coffee Book Tag.Thanks for the tag and you guys should go check out her blog right now, please and thank you. Now as I am not a coffee drinker, I still thought this would be a fun tag to do!

So let me brew a pot of tea and let’s get this started!

Black: A series thatโ€™s tough to get into but has hardcore fans

I still haven’t been able to get through the first book… but I hear it’s an amazing series!

Peppermint mocha: A book that gets more popular during the winter or a festive time of year

I don’t know what it is about this series that reminds me so much of Christmas and the holidays, but it does. Does it do that for you guys too?

Hot chocolate: A favourite childrenโ€™s book

Harold and the Purple Crayon

This one always sticks out when I think about childhood books!

Double shot of espresso: A book that kept you on the edge of your seat from start to finish

Morning Glories Vol. 1

A recent graphic novel read of mine. I was absolutely glued to the pages from beginning to end!

Starbucks: A book you see everywhere

Over the last couple weeks, all I’ve been seeing everywhere is this wonderful series! I love it!

That hipster coffee shop: A book by an indie author (a shoutout)

Shout out to Elise Kova for this beautiful series!

Oops! I accidentally got decaf: A book you were expecting more from

Carry On

I wanted more from the story. The characters were great though!

The perfect blend: A book or series that was both bitter and sweet, but ultimately satisfying

That ending though…

Green tea: A book or series that is quietly beautiful

The Five Stages of Andrew Brawley

This book is so beautiful and so not talked about enough.

Chai tea: A book or series that makes you dream of far off places

This is probably the only book I have read that evolves time travel, and it is lovely!

Earl grey: A favourite classic

The Outsiders

I don’t read classics, so this is my version of a classic!

  1. AHAHA yep, I’ve been seeing Pierce Brown books everywhere (but I suspect that’s because you’re so enthusiastic about it!).
And yeah, Elise Kova’s books definitely fit the hipster coffee shop kind of bill! Awesome pick for that! ๐Ÿ˜€
    Great responses, Jesse! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Thanks for the tag! Hopefully I’ll be able to get around to this one soon-ish!
Great answers as well. I love the Red Rising series, I’ve been seeing a lot of the last book around, I still need to read it but I kinda want to re-read the first two first!

  3. Awesome answer! I am so happy that everyone is getting into Red Rising! Maybe now that Morning Star has hit the Bestseller’s List, they’ll finally greenlight pre-production for the movie!

    Thanks for the tag! ๐Ÿ™‚

      1. Me and my boyfriend had this huge conversation recently about the casting! We agreed about the kids should all be nobodies. They’re supposed to be 18 and 7 ft tall gorgeous teens and there’s nobody close to that hahaha!
