Pixar Book Tag | Books at Dawn

Hey guys!

I was tagged by Joey over at Thoughts and Afterthoughts to do the Pixar Book Tag. Pixar holds quite a few of my favorite animated movies ever! Including The Incredibles, Finding Nemo, and Monsters Inc., so I knew I had to do this tag.

Toy Story — A book where you wanted the characters to come to life

Falling KingdomsOf course I want the characters from Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes to come to life! So I can fall madly in love with Magnus and knock Cleo out of the picture. Sorry girl, I’m just better. (I’ll settle for Ashur if Magnus doesn’t take the bait though…)

A Bugs Life— A character who goes through a transformation

Red RisingDarrow from Red Rising by Pierce Brown went through a major transformation. Going from the Red Slave to a Gold God. The precedures he had to go through I wouldn’t even wish on my enemies.

Monsters Inc. — A strong/scary character develops a soft side for someone else

Shadow and BoneThe Darkling from The Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo. He is scary, but charming, evil bu handsome, and he has a soft spot for Alina his Sun Summoner.

Finding Nemo — “P. Sherman, 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney” A book that has an address or quote that’s burned into your memory forever

HP Philosopher's StoneI will forever remember 4 Privet Drive. As would any other Harry Potter fan ever!

The Incredibles — Coolest Book Family

The Serpent KingFrom the most recent book I have read, I would choose the Blankenships from The Serpent King by Jeff Zentner! If I didn’t already have a cool family, these guys would be the ones I would choose.

Cars 1, 2, 3 — A book that keeps getting sequels you feel are not needed

10507293Should I mention the Selection Series by Kiera Cass… I mean come on. Just stop already!

Ratatouille — A book featuring a non-human/humanoid

CinderYou guys might think I am talking about Cinder from The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer, but I am reffering to the humanoid that is Iko. She is hands down 100% better then Cinder… don’t hate.

Wall-E — A book that made you lonely

All the Bright PlacesAll the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven definitely makes you feel lonely near the end. Heartbreaking as it was, there was still a silver lining!

Up — A book whose characters quickly made you become emotionally invested in

More Happy Than NotI quickly got emotionally invested in Aaron Soto from More Happy Than Not by Adam Silvera to the point where my heart was literally breaking for him.

Brave — Name a book with a strong mother/daughter relationship

Simon Vs. The Homo Sapiens AgendaI don’t read enough contemporaries to really have an exact answer for this, and the ones I have read have had problematic at home relationships. So I will choose the strong bond between Simon Spier from Simon Vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli and his parents.

Inside Out — Name a book that could be one of your core memories

The OutsidersThe Outsiders by S.E. Hinton will always bring back fond core memories. Favorite book growing up at school!

Well there you have it the Pixar Book Tag. Brings back a lot of fond memories as I was going through these questions. Did you guys love any of the movies from Pixar?

Until next time,

  1. Great answers! And of course, 4 Privet Drive is an address that will go straight into the collective memory of our generation.

Thanks for tagging me! I did this last weekend, so feel free to hop over and discover my shameful Pixar-empty life 😛

      1. Eo. My heart is still in mourning. Pierce is the only author that had the audacity to kill of my favourite character within the first 50 pages of the book. How dare he? 😛
