Fictional Cities | Top 5 Wednesday

Top-5-WednesdayHey guys!

Welcome back to another Top 5 Wednesday! This fun weekly meme was created by Lainey over at GingerReadsLainey. If you want to join in the fun and be apart of the #T5W … you can find all the details at the GoodReads page.

This week’s topic is Top 5 Fictional Cities.

A good fantasy (sometimes other genres) also comes with a great fictional city! Sometimes it’s a new made up city no one has ever heard before, and other times its a re-imagined already existing city in our world. Nevertheless a ficitional city can make or break a book for me. It all comes down to the mood of the setting that sets the tone for me. So let me show you my 5 favorite fictional cities!

5. Auranos from Falling Kingdoms

City AuranosWho wouldn’t want to live in a Kingdom that is prosperous and where everyone lives a comfortable life? I mean it’s a lot better then the wastelands of Paelsia and the cold arctic climates of Limeros. Am I right?

4. Neverland from Peter Pan and Wendy

City Neverland“Hi Peter Pan, it’s me Jesse. I was just wondering when you were going to come visit me in my window and take me off to Neverland with you. I’m quite frankly tired of being an adult and would love to stop aging.” That’s how I feel right now.

3. Palisade from Rat Queens

City PalisadeQuite frankly Palisade may not be the best place to live. But at least it will be a non stop party every night and day with the Rat Queens living it up there! I secretly want to join them on their escapades!

2. Newcago from Steelheart

City NewcagoYES YES YES. A city run by villain Epics with awesome powers?? I would either want to be said Epic or at least be apart of the Reckoners and hunt them down! Steelheart isn’t that bad of a mayor right?

1. Kingdom of Autumn from Snow Like Ashes

City Kingdom of Autumn“Doo doo doo doo doo” *whistles as I walk* Just casually strolling through my favorite city. I would freaking love to live in perpetual Autumn forever. My favorite season of course. Never too hot, never too cold. And look at all the pretty colors!!

Well there you have it! I hope you enjoyed my Top 5 Wednesday this week. If only I could live in these worlds! So much more exciting then the one I live!

Until next time,

Sig New

  1. Never land. I totally and completely agree. I don’t want to grow up any more than I am now! 😊
All these cities I NEED to discover. Especially Falling Kingdoms. I keep saying that. 😭

      1. Exactly!! The farthest I’d go would be 18. I feel like at that age you’re more open to challenging and questioning things but at the same time can still enjoy the freedom of not having what feels like the weight of the world on your shoulders.

  2. Neverland! 🙂 I’d take all my books there so I’d have my entire young life to live and read. Sounds like the perfect place for a reader. ^_^

  3. Totally forgot about Neverland! Who didn’t want to fly off to visit the Lost Boys when they were little? And even now too! I could not live in a perpetual Autumn for ever, I am such a weakling when it comes to cold. I’d have to be part of Summer to survive in that world haha

  4. Oktober would be amazing, it sounds beautiful! Omg I could never live in Newcargo, perpetual darkness? NO THANKS. I am a day creature. I would prefer Paelsia myself, for allof the wine 😉
