The Beautiful Blogger Award

The-Beautiful-Blogger-AwardHey guys!

First off I just want to thank Charley over @ BooksandBakes1 for nominating me for The Beautiful Blogger Award! I am extremely honored and grateful for the opportunity. I am also super excited to share 7 random facts about me so you guys can get to know me more! I don’t just read and talk about books all the time. (Even though I wish I could)

The Rules
  • Link to the blogger who took the time to nominate you.
  • List seven random things about yourself.
  • Nominate seven creative, beautiful bloggers.
  • Notify the amazing people that you nominated for the award.

I am a huge fan of KPOP. For those who live under a rock and haven’t heard of KPOP before, it stands for Korean Pop music. It all began in 2007 when I randomly watched a music video for a Korean girl group called Girls’ Generation or SNSD. Little did I know that I would still be hooked to the genre 8 years later and that the first video I ever watched would become my favorite group of all time and Asia’s #1 girl group!! I am also a huge fan of groups such as: Big Bang, SHINee, 2PM, Wonder Girls, f(x), aPink and many many more~

I live and breath TV. Some nights/days I feel like a hermit because all I do is catch up on hours and hours of my favorite tv shows. I can honestly think I have at least 2 full days worth of TV shows I watch. Crazy, right? I am super into: Teen Wolf, Arrow, 2 Broke Girls, Mistresses, Orphan Black, The Flash and so much more!

I danced in a group back in high school to none other than KPOP music. For 2 nights a week we would get together and practice downtown at a studio for fun and for shows. I’d say we were pretty good! I have fond memories dancing with them through good times and bad! Bad being the time I landed wrong on my foot and rolled my ankle. Let’s just say I spent a lot of time watching them practice while mentally learning the moves!

The-Beautiful-Blogger-Award-SPotWhen I was 10 years old I got hit by a car. The funniest part about that was she was a teacher from my elementary school. Me and my friends were about to cross the street at a four way stop when I turned back suddenly to throw out a wrapper from my snack. I just continued crossing the street without looking to see if a car was coming and BAM, she hit me. How she could hit me at a four way stop I have no clue. You can’t go more than 20km an hour. But whatever, all is good! I have a couple nasty scars from it though.

I am a horrible cook, or better yet a lazy one. I would rather pay for take out, or fast food, or go to a restaurant then cook my own meal. I find it tasking and boring. Some nights if I’m really lazy, I will just pour myself a bowl of cereal and that will be my dinner for the night. Thank god I’m moving back to my parents place. I won’t have to cook for a while!

I wasn’t always in love with reading. As a kid I did it randomly when I was bored, then in high school I only did it if it was required to pass the class, and university just for commuting there and home. But it wasn’t until a couple years back that I got really addicted to it and have not stopped since! I am extremely grateful for this blog and all the people I have met from it!

The-Beautiful-Blogger-Award-SPotLastly, when I was 16 years old I decided it was time to come out. In case you don’t know, that means I am gay (and happy). I was tired of the rumors I would hear floating around the halls, I was tired of hiding a piece of myself from my family and friends. The day I came out was the day I truly felt comfortable in my own skin. A huge weight was lifted off my shoulder and I just felt happy. There is no better emotion to explain it, then happy.

Well there you have it! 7 random facts about me for The Beautiful Blogger Award. I hope you enjoyed getting to know me a little better. I would be even more happy if you guys told me a little something about yourselves as well! So comment down below 1 fact not everyone knows about yourself.

Until next time,

  1. You make getting hit by a car sound like slipping on wet floor. Amazing how casual you are about it, but I guess what’s in the past is in the past.
Also, I totally get the TV stuff. I am addicted to everything and I often just want to watch like 3 episodes and spend the day binging something.

  2. Being a gay nowadays is a compliment because gays we’re more hardworking and family oriented than those of manly men out there. Hooray for people like you! 😉

  3. One thing that gets me about 2 Broke Girls is that the value they earn–and decide to save–is so willy nilly LOL. I think the first season was about some arbitrary $250k goal that has just diminished to the point of why bother having that money ticker thing at the end. It’s still [at times] good humour though, so there’s that.

    1. You literally just have to laugh. There really is no point in the money thing. They either have some, or they don’t. I think it’s more about the comedy then it is the story 😛

  4. I can relate to the last. It shouldn’t be, but it really is a weight lifted. I was 18 though, well away from high school and those nasty jerks roaming the hallways making fun of me. High school, oh how I do not miss that at all 🙂

    1. My high school experience wasn’t that bad though. It could have been a lot worse. I could have actually gotten physically bullied, but I wasn’t. Which I’m grateful for 😀

  5. Your post made me smile. Definitely a highlight of my rather gloomy day today. I can’t believe you got hit by your elementary teacher! You made me giggle telling that story.
I have a friend who is pretty obsessed with K POP and she made me kind of like it too! I like Big Bang too! 😄

  6. I also adore SNSD *high five* My friends and family seem shocked that I can name them all haha. I was sooo devastated when Jessica left the group. But as long as my fave, Soo Young and Seohyun remains, I will be MOSTLY happy.

I am so glad that coming out was such a positive experience for you, and that you are a much more happier person for it 🙂 ❤

    1. I think everyone was a little taken aback by her leaving, but I think they are still thriving and will continue to thrive in her absence. I’m hoping for a new subunit soon. Maybe SHY (SooYoung, HyoYeon, Yuri/YoonA). That would be bomb!
